Julia Bushkov, President
Julia Bushkov, founder of HRVentures®, has over eighteen years
of experience bringing results-oriented, cost-effective human resources
solutions to Silicon Valley's high tech community. Adept at improving existing
corporate HR practices as well as designing entirely new HR systems from the
ground up, Ms. Bushkov provides a wide range of client-focused services from
strategic planning and consulting, corporate culture creation, design and
implementation of improvement practices and leadership training, to acting as
interim Vice President of Human Resources.
Before establishing HRVentures in May of 1998, Ms. Bushkov served as Vice
President of Human Resources for Uniphase Corporation in San Jose, California,
where she developed and managed the worldwide HR function. She helped devise
and implement the company's strategic plan and oversaw successful integration
of companies during six international and domestic acquisitions. She also
assisted in overall corporate design and structure and helped develop the
leadership skills necessary for the continued success of a company that grew
from $30M to $250M in revenue during her tenure.
Ms. Bushkov previously served as Human Resources Manager for Sun Microsystems
in Milpitas, California, where she provided human resources tools and
stategic/management consulting support to the company's various business units
worldwide. In that role, she implemented continuous improvement programs and
processes that led to dynamic, ongoing development of the corporation and its
people. Ms. Bushkov's other experience includes serving as Human Resources
Manager at Raychem Corporation, Manager of Employee Relations and Systems for
Stanford University School of Medicine, and Corporate Human Resources Manager
for Woodward-Clyde Consultants. Through these endeavors Ms. Bushkov gained
expertise in all areas of human resources, including employee relations,
training and development, organizational effectiveness, workforce management,
employee sensing, performance management systems, compensation and benefits,
change management, EEO/Affirmative Action, employee communications, employee
incentive plans, redeployment, career development, and HRIS.
A native of Russia, Ms. Bushkov holds an MBA from Golden Gate University in San
Francisco, California, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration from University of San Francisco.
